My 1 pc HUNT & O'BRYNE Before And After Refurnish .. :))
Don't think your pics do it justice mate, maybe better photos we would see a much bigger difference before and after refurb.
I LOVE to upload all picture but i cant. there is a limit to number of pic i can upload ( . maybe someone can teach me how to do it ? i delete all my other picture to upload these 5 pic.
It's not easy to see an one piece Obyrne cue nowadays , don't even thinking of having one of them. Maxz, do you mind where did you get the lovely cue and how much you paid for it? Does matters if you really don't want to.
I got this cue from Hong Kong seller. for $1300 pound excluded shipping. He made this cue when he was studying in uk during 80's . and my close friend ( HongKong national player which i known for 20 years ) can vouch for him that its a genuine piece. as he is a long time customer in my friend snooker club. i bought this cue last sept-oct 2013.

Thanks for your reply Maxz, it's a master piece you have. Not too many one piece Obyrne cues seen in Hong Kong, hope you enjoy playing with it mate.
Surely the whole point is to play with it. Thats what its for.
Thats my opinion mate. But its like when they go to asia for bega bucks, they keep them in collections and never play with them which is a shame. They were made to be used at end of day and i dont classify them as antiques

Fully Agreed Above Mention !!! but in this part (borneo island) of the world where no one or cue maker here can even change a ferrule properly. it will be a problem when anythings happen to this cue. i got no one to fix it. in asia only thailand and china has proper peoples can do it. unlike in uk its so easy for u guys where all top or best cuemakers are staying around ur area. )
maybe u are right. just in case accident do happen , i just want to double, triple assure the cue is in good hands . but i am feel much carefree using the GBL cue i bought from u ) jrc750. thanks really a nice cue

I sometimes forget how lucky we are when it comes to getting cues made and repaired here in the U.K.
You could always send it to me and I will play with it for you and if it ever needs a new ferrule or a new tip putting on I will take it to one of the top cuemakers and get it done for you.

go to Photobucket (or such like), register for free, upload your pictures, then with each picture individually displayed, click on the IMG code to the right (and to the bottom of the list) of the picture, it will flash "Copied", then paste that code into your TSF post, this will display the image itself (not the URL) in your post

I paid no attention to where you are and stupidly assumed you were referring to getting it re-finished here in the UK, by someone who was charging for the service, considering where you are I guess the cue is rarer than hen's teeth and I'd want to be very careful with it too, though I would have to play with it just occasionally, as that is what it is made for.
Long as you follow the basic guidelines for looking after a cue it should last your lifetime, if you only use it every now and then you won't need to get the tip or ferrule replaced and you can give it a light oil and polish every year or so yourself. Can you get insurance for the cue or include it on some insurance for where it is kept?
