Nice cue there Jack - personally if you where not sure on the cues authenticity you could and perhaps should have taken it to a cue expert - or shop - or could possibly have posted it on here first first to get an opinion - but you did say on the ad you were not sure of its authenticity and I so i think people are being a bit harsh with the comments just because you stuck a badge on some cue you thought might be one of the same type.

You don't sound like a bad bloke to me and I would buy off you for sure.
What kind of con man offers the buyer their money back if the buyer is not happy>?-I wish a few other would do this-and giving someone the first option to buy a cue back if you sell it on is a nice touch actually.

and walkerpool everyone barters when buying something second hand -no big deal that.

I might be wrong so don't all jump on my head here but Jack has come on the forum and sold and bought and participated before and I don't think he is hiding anything - he just put a badge on a cue he was told is a cue from that manufacturer - I have never owned one of these cues to tell but how do you all know it is not an original - am I missing something obvious here - regardless its still a nice cue.
Can you enlighten me how you think it's a nice cue what's actually nice about it?

[QUOTE=billabong;789424]I think refund only came into the equation after this post was started.

actually if you look at listing clearly states refund given, and I have always refunded anyone not completely satisfied(not that there has been, well apart from the odd ex girlfriend lol)

Well all subjective but I sure seen worse Parris copies on e-bay but yea sure it has a nice grain pattern - and tight straight even grain on the underside and well I just liked the look of it - I am surprised it went for that price though thought maybe 200 - 250.

That's because it had a black plate on it !!!!! without the badge maybe £150, see the difference ? see the dishonesty ????

Yeah I see what you mean but all I am saying is to me it looked a nice cue - he also gave the history of the cue - said he was told it was that type of cue from his father in law - he has a lot of good feedback and he sold the cue in his real name on e-bay after selling and buying a few cues before - he said he cant be sure its authentic and offered a refund if the buyer was not happy - maybe he should have mentioned fitting the badge then - but it could still well be genuine.

I know you know a lot about cues JRC - I have never owned one of these so are you sure it is not original and if so how can you tell?

I am not sticking up for Jack or taking sides but he sounds an ok guy to me and a real snooker lover and have to say if he was a dodgy seller - and there are a few out there- then Jack certainly sounds one of the more decent ones don't you think.

Right that's my opinion - going back to sitting on the fence now buddy - I like quiet life - too many harsh words on here recently must be the weather -

                      Is quite interesting.

Been going a wee while, no bids at £175.

Now if the guy got his hands on a mast badge and plonked it in......

Seller is Jonathan lonergan I think.

If someone starts making James butters badges, we could be in for a flood. ..

Thats why i have never bought a butters unbadged cue. Just no way of knowing if its genuine, unless got from the man himself.
