best way to repair this ?

What would be my best way of reapairing this nick out of my cue thanks

ok, then it's been compressed. Try wetting a cotton bud and strapping it over the dent with masking tape. Leave it there over night and the majority should come out. If there is still a slight dent afterwards try rubbing the side of pint glass over it gently. The only way to definitely get it out would be to steam the area, but I wouldn't recommend it!!!

Yeah it would roughly be at my chin on a long backswing ....i don't notice it while playing though

I used the damp cotton taped to shaft overnight and then today went with j6s iron and cloth to get what was left out . Both methods worked well . Heres an image of whats left . Is this best filled with a wood filler or woodust and superglue ?

Yeah I was quite surprised at the outcome . The bit that's left is a bit "edgy" and I don't want it flaking or splintering

oil it and leave i for a few days they iron it again. but if its deep then wood glue a flake of ash over it and tightly sellotape around it, then sand off.
i wouldn't use super glue because of the hardness of it, not good for the shaft

Just put a drip of glue on it. When it's dry just go over it with sandpaper
