Ardvark look at the Pheonix cues they are around 160, someone had a thread about them recently, they looked decent for the money, had good reviews as well.
This is how you play darts ,MVG two nines in the same match!

        Woods cue is lacquer finish,

Cuedos is member on here so maybe worth contacting direct (he would probably oil finish for you).

i bought a woods 3 star cue of cuedos and quite surprised to how well it plays don't get me wrong its not the best looking cue in the world but is a cracking playing cue. The shaft is oil finished and the butt is varnished Honest opinion though i wouldn't pay over £100 for a 3 star woods.

For that sort of budget I would try the PHOENIX cues on the Craftsman Cues Web Site ! their basic Machine Spliced is around £ 95 ok ! its Machine Spliced but I have one and the quality of the shaft was better than many of the more up market Hand Spliced cues if you go for a hand spliced cue I think the Phoenix Master range start at around £175.

Although he is currently on holiday ADR is doing similar O Min cues h/s for £109 + post and " cuedos " is doing pool spec Woods cues for £50 + post . In the case of the Woods cue an alteration to a larger tip size ( thus shortening the cue ) would be around £20 , so for about £80 you could get a good playable cue , for a junior player.

You may consider "niche cue" hand made in Thailand at around GBP160 including delivery cost, PM me for pics and details if you are interested
