I'm guessing by the name it's gone to Chris Lloyd, so I'd expect a swift replair and resale.

I seriously considered buying this, it looks like a player. I've got some lively ebony blocks I bought a few years ago I could have cut a decent matching splice from. I couldn't have justified £92 for it. I'd say to cut and fit and hand plane a splice and refinish, it would be hard to sell for less than £200-£250 which might be quite hard to get.
If it's a player though, you simply can't get that type of shaft anymore.

Someone saw the cues potential , I nearly bought it myself . I think that it could be restored and would owe around £150 and you are right jb , a shaft like this is getting harder to find and as such should be preserved. I shall keep an eye out for this cue and if Chris did buy it , I might even drive over for a " before and after " visit.

seen a few of them over the years - badges are often worse than that one. for its age it is actually pretty decent and should be worth much more than the market is paying now.
