A List to what models are in the Omin Thailand Factory

For the Victory cue can't really say fake or not, but the Chinese have been in the Business since about 2008or2009 i think.

After Looking on the China O'min Website i stumbled over Cue Maintenance I fell of the Chair. HAHA

For what it is worth i queried this with my contact about the above fake O'Mins and just got this reply via Email...

Omin does not do that. It is a just fake company. Like they make fake watches, fake clothes, fake shoes. They are making fake omins.

Omin has nothing to do with them.
Omin make everything at omin factory in thailand.
I just got your cue done infront of my eyes and saw it made.it is not chinese made at all.
I am just glad i have a real one honestly and who knows what goes on behind the scenes.
If it is called " Common sense " why is it so rare???

If you order at factory thailand then yes, it will be factory thailand, if you order somewhere else other than in the Factory. Pray.

It does seem very messy from the outside, if Omin are totally innocent and the Chinese have just stolen his brand, it must be awful for them, and near enough impossible to stop, could they not start numbering their cues or something, then the worst that would happen is duplicate numbers but if they kept records they could say for sure what cues are theirs.

With Mr O'Min having little/or very poor communication expertise i don't think he really cares honestly and this is more a hobby for him as an expert wood worker and sensational Cue maker. It would be fair to say he has made his money and does it for the love of it while training others at it as well from his Thai factory as my contact who sees him every week certainly gives me this impression of old man O'Min.

One could only imagine how much it would cost Mr O'Min to chase the fraudsters up and stop it happening but the Chinese would be loaded with $$$$ and at his age it would not be worth it now, the satisfaction he gets is knowing the Cues that leave his factory ARE the real deal i suppose and the pride that goes with it.

I reckon the way it's going the future is a little uncertain for Omin, unless something is done , as unlike you we don't all have a contact, so who would take the risk in buying one when you can go somewhere else and know what you are getting.

What I would say is if these are Chinese made, don't bother paying for a real one, as there is not a chance they can be better playing cues.

I thought the Victory was genuine old model Omin as well. Just waiting to see if anyone agreed. Got a feeling Andy and Denja will agree.

That was my take on it Maverick, but this particular model seems to have a bit of confusion over it. Could be because it wasn't around for long and got replaced for some reason.

I was in the market for a genuine O'min cue (I am not now as I bought a Travis and am delighted with it)

If I was looking for a genuine O'min and a Victory came up I would heve no hesitation in snapping it up if the price was right. Followed the Omin story a lot including the registered trade marks on certain badges etc. My gut feeling tells me the Victory is genuine and so is the Gunman.

Yes right it does take a decent amount of cash to make a law suite. He is asking for advise help from the sports accosiation, but i regret to say they will not help in the financial as it is a private business. He is already loosing business and he did not do anything about it. I remember doing a post about it not long ago explaining it.

Also for the for the comunication, he himself knows wood. But he does not know the language. He did mentioned in the past having his sister making the deals and sales orders to international customers, but she also has a family to be with. So actually he is not giving up but he has not the knowledge in the laws and lawers here can cost in cases like this.

Here some pictures from a friend of him posted on FB.
(They actually still made cues, and also invented some new tools due to that major tools were in the water.)
