That's a strange thing. Did they really hand-engrave a production cue? I can't say that I've seen that before.
Does anyone know the significance of the date "Jan. 1899"? That was the month the Billiard Association held their professional championship, but it didn't involve Roberts. I thought it might have been reference to the "match of the century" against Dawson, but that took place in March.
I'd be interested in any information.

Bottom right hand corner, that's a posidrive screw if I'm not mistaken, so that's not original, don't know about the rest. Although not much patina on the badge for something that's 100 years old.Last edited by itsnoteasy; 29 July 2014, 08:09 PM.This is how you play darts ,MVG two nines in the same match!

Thats not wear(?) its in an area which would only ever touch your hand. Unless someone has sandpaper hands, they've seen sanded away!
*edit* or those are nails, either way you can't make a screw/nail that shiney with your hand!Last edited by perpetualboredom; 29 July 2014, 09:06 PM.---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
