Ask the seller yourself Leo, he's on here under the same name, I have bought extensions off him before , straightforward no nonsense transaction, seems like a good lad.
This is how you play darts ,MVG two nines in the same match!

that's fair enough, all i am saying is surely you have to start asking questions why someone is selling a cue for nearly half the price of what they normally sell for and stick a best offer on it aswell.
Not saying he's a dodgy seller as I'm sure he's not,but I wouldn't be surprised it there's more going on behind the scenes with that cue then meets the eye.

You could be right, I don't know enough about them, just ask him, he may be able to explain the story behind the cue.

Its very hard to fake extensions, but unfortunately that seller is well known to me, and other collectors as someone who mocks up cues.

The recent Lindrum- McConachy cue sold on eBay a few months back was a Tony Glover badge on a donar cue, Karl offer me this cue 3-4 years ago. The seller of that cue was also in Brimingham, so either Karl was selling it under another name (wouldn't be the first time), or he's been selling his forged cues locally. The ye olde ash that seller was flogging was also not genuine in my opinion.

I had two faked cues off him which I only realised after her offered me two others, and by another co-incidence just yesterday I met someone who'd managed to pick up another one of this creations! This time a mocked up Joe Davis 138 riley cue which used to feature on Karls skydrive of sold cues. Until I pointed out several were fakes so he took them all down.

Of course everyone is entitled to their opinion, but I've seen enough blatently faked cues being sold by him that I'd never buy another cue from him.

Wow, thanks for that Perpetualboredum, sad to hear the cues you bought weren't genuine, sometimes I despair of what people will do.
Well done Leo , for bringing this to light, the more experienced cue lads would know to stay clear, but you may just have saved someone a bit of money and some heartache.

ok, but to completely remove it instead of letting it drop to the Sold/Completed Listings...
                        suspicious/guilty behaviour maybe?

Could I ask the cue lads about these faked cues. Are they real badges , on the wrong cue, or is everything wrong, I'm just wondering who is making the badges ?, if it's well known cue makers why do they do it, as I'm sure they would be the first to complain if it happened to them, or are the badges churned out in Asia or somewhere like that.

My guess is he was made an offer and to beat dreaded fees sold it privately, happens all the time, just use ebay as a shop window
I always say if you are serious about a cue, don't just bid, get in touch, because a deal away from ebay is always sweeter financially for both parties
