Thats something you dont know until you have used it , regardless of the badge there is no guarantee how a cue will play .

      • This is a Traditional I picked up off eBay. It doesn't bother me in the slightest as the cue hits nice BUT I still think it should have originally been a sin bin cue.

not if it plays well you buy a cue to aid you in performing aswell as you can to your ability so maybe sinbin in terms of perfection cosmetically

            • When buying off eBay ,if the pictures are shown of the splices etc, you know what you are buying, so that's all fair enough IMO ,the decision is then yours and you can bid accordingly . If you order it brand new and it turns up with the splices out, I think that's a different story. Wouldn't bother me either GG if I liked the cue.
This is how you play darts ,MVG two nines in the same match!

i doubt it i rate his cues for playability, i tried gbl too wippy for me and tried an old burwat great cue but needed more weight with todays balls and i also tried a TW and MW didnt get on with them at all but were very nice cues to look at also had a northwest which was a good player tbf but was 3/4 prefer a one piece

I'm not disagreeing but the car analogy is a good one. 2 identical top end cars. 1 is perfect but the other has poor fitting rattling trim. Do you accept it as the performance is what you expect or would you expect the cosmetic details to be sorted before you got it?

Well that's a bit naughty, and probably proves the whole point of this thread, he didn't show that because he knew the cue wasn't right , and this would affect the price.

I think that's a little unfair to GBL, you can go to his shop and try as many cues for basically as long as you want(within reason lol) until you find one you like, so to judge them on one cue is a bit harsh.

maybe so but they look great seen a few aswel, to look at cues are nice but wippy and have a sticky varnish feel to them, sorry but dont trust this brand dont forget they are made in thailand then brought to the greenbaize shop where you try them out.
