    just thought i would show some opics of this ash mannock as i think there a fairly rare cue only seen 2,,,,

    i never quite understood the ash mannock - if the whole anti grip thing was about pearwood shafts why did they do them in ash? - rare cues though.

      I thought it was about the taper of the shaft ( or lack of it ) ?

      Nice cue Jim, has it still got the long horn ferrule ?

        it was about the friction of the wood i think? maybe i have been wrong about that, i just assumed it was!

                This one was on ebay recently, and from memory, looked like ash. Definitely not pearwood.
                Still had the horn ferrule as well. Pity the pics aren't available any more. . .

                      I don't think he meant he wouldn't sell it to you, rather he assumes Jim wouldn't sell it to anyone given how rare it is.

                        Yet to see a Patented badged Mannock pop up for sale - anyone out there have an example of this early Mannock with "PATENTED" etched on the badge
