Looking for a new Cue

Dear Friends,

My name is Ahmed, I live in UAE (home country Pakistan).

I currently have JP Pro in Pk, but I dont want to bring it to UAE. I am looking for advice for a new cue, I am in contact with many vendors like Master, Omin and Niche. All have similar prices but I dont know which one to select.

Can any one guide me.

Although I would recommend O'Min I would also say you cannot go wrong with any of them.

Nope dont have the option to try.

Thats why want to know the groups opinion.

BTW apart from thai makers I also contacted many cue makers in UK, who gave me insane prices and deadlines.

Robert Osborne outright refused and referred me to a reseller who gave me price of GBP 780 for one cue and GBP 1300 for the other.

Contacted stamford who told me that Series 1 prices would be around GBP 700 with case and will take 8 months to complete.

So i now have to decide by the end of the week of which cue to buy

Try Andy Travis on here, he dpes very good cue. Wooldtidge also a superb cuemaker also crispian jones does great cues with lovely designs. Glover of course, one of the best you can get. Adr will have something you would like, heard a rumour he got hold of a very rare cue made years ago by a carpenter a while back from the middle east, nazareth or somewhere. The holy grail of cue collecting allegedly.

Agree 100%. Just bought two GBL cues from Stu. One ash and one maple. He will alter the cues shown on his website to suit you at no charge. Received one of them within a week and the other (which had the shaft and butt slimmed in less than two weeks.) Great person to deal with and quality cues.

Yep the whole service you get there is second to none and with the huge stock pile of cues you can't go wrong. I'm just glad I never caught the "I'm going to wait months even years for a cue and after showing pics on a forum to my pals I'll probably sell it bug"

Unfortunately, I'm partially guilty of that I did order a JP Special and, now I'm really not concerned when it shows up as the GBL's go head on with any cue I've ever played with. (Used to have a Gautier and a Marcel Jaques many years ago.) But, I'm sure the JP will be very nice to play with as well.
