Selling Cues in the forum

I wanted to list some cues for charity sales but when listing :
1. I have to pay % to Panjo.
2. Now I have to give credit card numbers for listing fee to the forum.
Why not pay % to only Panjo and let them share their % to the forum ? I dont mind extra % to avoid my card number exposure.

Any comment ? Correct me if I am wrong.

Not upset. Just dont know why double % processes instead of one. Panjo is 3rd party handling the sales transaction

Well ,, I think in every trade, there is always a Panjo. in this case Panjo has nothing to do with forum. !!!! just like you use Paypal to pay (or receive money) from third person Or companie !!! in this case, one of you will have to pay a% to Paypal. for handling of transaction. Anyway, forgive me if I'm wrong. Just my opinion.

It is a way of protecting buyers UncleVit, there was a spate of people paying for cues and not receiving them and they were losing their money because they had no comeback, so the site makes you sell through Panjo, for everyone's protection. I'm not too sure on the rules but you may be able to post them on your Facebook thing for sale, then put a link to them on here, and avoid Panjo that way, but as I say I'm not sure if that's within the rules you would have to check, hope that helps a wee bit.

I do not mind Panjo to handle the job. Just see 2 % payment here. Sales commission to Panjo and % listing fee to forum. Panjo must have a deal with the forum on getting inside the site. Why not, e.g. 4%, paying to Panjo. PJ then keep 3% to themselves and pay 1% to forum. Credit Card number exposure should be better through Paypal.I have no serious issue here. Just do not want to expose my card to third party. My card used to be hacked on the net to buy $1,200 plain ticket in Spain while I am in Bangkok. Bad experience. It took the card 2 full months to return me the money

Ah! I can understand why you are a bit nervous then, my daughter got her card cloned after using a hole in the wall machine once, it's not a nice experience.

My wife had hers compromised at Heathrow last year and she didn't even use it at the airport! The scammers are everywhere!

As already said Panjo is a 3rd party I have bought in to help protect the transactions on the forum as we have had a number of fraudulent sales in the past, originally I was not going to charge a listing fee but there have been a number of listings advertised on Panjo and within hours these listings have been made unavailable so to stop this sort of behaviour I introduced the listing fee.

Here is how it works, to list a item you have to pay Panjo the listing fee, When you sell a item you select how to receive the payment, if you have chosen PayPal then this is how you will get paid from Panjo, this is why there are two different payments going on.

If Panjo took a listing fee from the final payment then it would simply not work as this would not deter people listing items then withdrawing them. It basically works the same as eBay but in reverse! when you list a item on eBay you pay a listing fee but instead of paying that fee right away you are invoiced at the end of the month.

Panjo are a trusted company and are PCI Compliment this means that their systems for taking credit card payments have been checked and comply with UK legislation, you can read more about this by searching "PCI compliance" It basically means that the computer systems that Panjo use to take credit card payment are not linked to any other systems which could be hacked or circumvented to enable a hacker to gain access to the payment systems.

Away from this forum I do this as a job and run many online eCommerce shops and have to make sure my clients comply to these standards all the time so rest assured that I do take these things very seriously and I vet all 3rd party companies linked with TSF especially those who take payments in anyway from the members.

I am in direct contact with the CEO of Panjo and will discuss why you can not pay the listing fee via PayPal but first I will list my own items for sale as I am yet to use the system myself and really think I should use it so I understand the procedures better myself and to better help the members when problems do arise.

I just wanted to add that as your contribution to the forum increases your listing fees and final sale % decreases.

Newly registered members are charged $1.62 (£1) Listing fee and a 5% final transaction fee.
Members with over 1,000 posts are not charged a listing fee and the final transaction fee is just 2%

I personally think this is very fair as what is a £1 these days and 5% to some members is still cheaper than 10% *Bay Ending Fees! and some people will feel more Protected against fraudulent sales.
