Not a dig at either of you as I've never had any dealings with you...

But I have had dealings with plenty of fussy buggers, and personally I can't be bothered with them any more after spending hours over the years measuring, re measuring, taking extra picturs because the 15 I've taken aren't enough, oh then some more measuring. Then after all that all that, "how stiff is it", erm 9.3 on the bill****e stiffness scale my friend.
On the rare ocassion they're not just wasting your time, and they do buy cue they'll try to return it because it's "clearly a 7.2" on the stiffness scale.

    Pah.

Yep to many people want a cue out the box ready to play, not prepared to tweak or experiment not willing to learn.

conversely some sellers just think you'll buy the first thing you're offered and get uppity with you when you say no!

best PM I got from a seller when I was looking for a cue was just "ÂŁ210, delivered". no specs, no pictures, no nothing. crazy.

I agree with this comment and this is exactly why I've stopped selling cues. I had an older JP cue refused as I had neglected to take the shaft picture with the flat straight up and the buyer said the chevrons weren't in line. When I checked the picture they were about 1/16" off the vertical. And the extra pictures they want of the shaft when you've already posted 4 shaft pictures.

it seems more people these days are so incensed with name-badge & perfect chevrons first without asking or even playing with the cue, what I also don't get is when you see a really expensive cue that a poster has stuck up with very poor uneven chevrons and the people who are normally fussy about this have obviously seen the nameplate and automatically said great cue, very odd indeed.

Leo Most people dont just over night want nice chevrons on the shaft, as i have been playing for more than 30yrs and was playing to high standard many moons ago and I always liked a nice shaft with nice sighted arrows as Trevor White, John Parris etc will tell you so your wrong mate its not just these days these people want nice shafts with nice Chevrons. Now the Name Badge is abit of a different story as some think they will play better with a John Parris Ultimate and start hitting 100+ Breaks asap which doesnt happen unless you were a high standard player already.

Also only because People say nice cue doesnt mean that the Cue would suit them personally, but that doesnt take away the workmanship in a cue.

                  Gaz.

I gotta say if im selling a item and somebody wants More pics of a certain way or More info etc that isnt a Big Deal in taking a few more pics is it? as at the end of the day its the persons preference of a Cue or Item which is important to them as its them parting with the Cash.

What alot of people do when selling a Cue or Item on eBay or Anywhere else is take pics of the best part of the Cue or Item and add some crap about it like "POTS WELL, SCREWS BACK WELL ETC" and leaves some of the more important parts/info out which Personally i think puts more people off which means you wont get the True value for it anyway.

                    Gaz.

That's fair enough, my post wasn't aimed directly to you as many down my local club are the same with how they want perfect chevrons etc.

Wow this thread is funny - can I say I see nothing wrong with what Gazza147 is asking for - If he likes buying cues and wants something a certain way or in a certain spec that is entirely up to him - nothing wrong with being fussy - I think it a bit harsh to have a go at the fella just for that and wreck his thread or start a row over nothing - come on guys give a guy a break - snooker analogy there

Seems stupree has matched his specs so he's most probably bought that cue,not a wrecked thread in the end
