What selection of cues does John keep in stock was thinking about popping in myself

You'll probably find a wide selection from his range of cues on the circular racks. The ones that will probably catch your eye are the ones against the wall (single file rack) . These are normally part of the upper echelons of his range. You probably will find a 'special' and if your lucky a 'paragon' but the chances of a 'ultimate' are probably nil.

Really interesting seeing the shop with all the pictures, table and cues.
Did they not have your specs in the shop?

Couldn't afford it outright so had to get it made so that we could afford to save up over the following months. They also didn't have a champion cue in 19 oz.

              Trip to parris

Well finally have my first 'proper' cue from JP. They had it ready before Christmas (1 month from initial order) but didn't have the funds or time to go and get it.

Picked it up today and love it. Will put some pics up later as the Wife has challenged me to a game (she's not to bad at snooker, hope I don't lose) to try it out.

Shouldn't you lose the first game to her with (her) cue mate?

Terrible really to be shut twice a week and they are only open from 10am-5pm. Literally a part time set up then. 21 hours a week they are working for I calculate that to be, its no wonder the waiting list for cues is so long given the lack of hours production time they have.

would have though this is the shop-front times and not the workshop, 24x7 I would think to work on all the JPU orders
                            Up the TSF! :snooker:

it wouldn't surprise me if it closes completely. i could see that patch being a block of apartments in a few years from now

The waiting times for Ultimate's is nuts, you would think they would stop taking orders for a while to get the order book freed up some. Didn't someone say a while back that he was told there was a shortage of ultimate grade shafts? 2-3 years for a cue is looney tunes time frame. 8 - 12 months for 3/4 isn't bad but 1 piece or 12" jointed cues it can be upto 36 months.
