    Classic plain ebony butt splices
    or
Traditional - single burr wood front splice on a maple veneer, on ebony butt splices

    Up the TSF! :snooker:

As John Parris has already said the Most popular Design with him and many other Cue Makers is the Traditional Style same as Ronnie's! people think if they get a Cue like his they will Play like him.....ha ha

This did shock me alittle as Parris does have much nicer designs but because of the Genius which Ronnie really is they have all gone for that Design.

            Gaz.

Absolutely the Ronnie's style, but personally I don't like it

Also the reason why Hendry's Connoisseur style cue was also a popular design for many when he was still using that cue. The traditional model of course is just based on the Burwat champion which was the cue Ronnie started off playing with as a kid.

Am a ye olde ash fan so love the plain cues. Also a burwat fan. So my fav's are cues based on these models. Parris traditional etc

Personally , given a choice from scratch, I like 4 x splices of a nice burr, that's had an extremely hard life,

or some well figured snakewood, over the blackest ebony. No veneers, and maybe, just maybe, a wee front ebony splice.

Shaft can be made of any wood as long as it plays like I was born with it. . .

Oh and always finish it off with a badge, no matter if it's a separate sin bin badge, to differentiate it from the premium cue range ( Jim Butters ). . .

The most popular will be traditional. I think any cue with a single splice and a nice veneer looks classy and here are some nice woods to chose from, i quite like the idea of a one piece ash cue with a complete snakewood butt, I think it would look stunning.

well before ron started using one piece cues exclusively the 3/4 cue was all the rage, but the features of the cue, its jp who always sets the trend
