Clever. What's the cable tie on the butt for?

What's the nature of the bend and have you had any luck in sorting it out using this method?

    Good luck.

Completely pointless i would have thought, surely it will just spring straight back, and you risk damaging the cue by applying too much pressure?

the plan is to keep it in the work mate for a month or so its badly bent so nothing to loose all tho its a good cue

I fixed one by basically packing it in tightly in a case, with packing under and on top to correct the bend, and forgot about it for a couple of months. Did the job well, but only lasted a week or so before the warp returned. The only way to properly fix it is to add heat to the equation, unless its just a slight warp.

To get a cue straight again is no easy thing and in most cases, unless done properly, the bend will come back.
What need to be done is to change the wood structure and the only real way of doing that is by adding heat and moisture.
When I do it, I firstly steam the cue over a pan of boiling water until I get the cue nice and flexible. Then once I have it where I think it's straight I use a heat gun on low setting and gently dry cue out constantly checking it is remaining straight. Afterward you will need to finish the cue off again
              Hope this helps.
