  • In Praise of Cannon Cues!

    Hey guys,

Just posting here to say how impressed I am with my new cue! I bought a cannon two-piece cue recently, expecting a cheap stick that'll just last me til I can afford a better one, but what I got really impressed me. Nice straight high-quality piece of ash, neat splices. Even the simulated ebony feels nice!

Highly recommended to anyone from beginner to pro! So impressed I've asked for a 3/4 Cannon cue for Christmas

    Cheers,
    Joe

PS I am in no ways affiliated with Cannon or Peradon, just wanted to share my views on a company that rarely seems to get mentioned on this site

You misunderstand, I like it so much that I want another one haha

I'll probably thin the tip on my current one for pool and use the 3/4 one for snooker. Just wanted to recommend a little-recommended line of cues

Did you ever play a high end cue? Don't get me wrong you can play good with any cue.

I will do when I figure out how! It's the Azure one, if you're wondering. I'm thinking about asking for the exigé as a joint Christmas present as it's 3/4 jointed and comes with an extension and case.

I have not tried out any high end cues (besides a Riley Hybrid which I was told cost a lot) but I've played with plenty of other cues in this price range, and the cannon just blows them all out the water (no pun intended!).

Exactly what I said! That's why I'm dubious to it having cost a lot haha.

It's this weird three piece cue. It has an ash shaft, and joints at centre and 3/4. The last 1/4 of the butt is made of this weird rubberised squishy stuff, and it's covered in a really thick clear coat of something. Plus it weighs a ton; horrid, horrid cue

It's horrible, the varnish is really thick and sticky and it weighs a ton. And the rubber... just why?!?!

I think that it is more of a Pool Cue , personally i would not hold open my car bonnet with it ......but then again i am a cue snob

Haha I can't afford to be a cue snob! I only just managed to afford my one, which is why I'm so chuffed that it's really nice!
