Maybe he is very superstitious, he has played most of his career with a stamford without a badge on it, we know its a stamford so why the big deal over the badge not being fitted? Its not as if its ever going to be visable to the viewers when he is playing because you literally need to be a standing right next to him in order to make out the badge on any cue!
WTF is his problem?? There is a badge on his Cue....... Oh FFS get over it and unless you yourself can make Cues you will be relying on others to make them for you and they do this for a living and deserve the credit they get by having a Top player use one of them. Asking for the Cue makers badge to be removed is rubbish and you are effectively robbing him of other sales and reputation.
Saying that everyone knows his last Cue was a Stamford and that had no badge is clutching at straws to support his argument and i never knew and i follow the sport.
Superstitious my arse!! lolIf it is called " Common sense " why is it so rare???

Also if people are interested to see what others are saying in relation to this that also side with Coutts...
Far too polite Dave. "F*ck off" is all they'd get from me

Really don't see the issue here. Ding asked for a cue in a specific way. Dave didn't want to do it (completely his choice) so ding rep cancelled the order simples no one was hurt and Dave got some free publicity

I have no problem with this and good on him.
The world is to politically correct these days and gone are the days when you can call a spade a spade sadly. I fully support these blokes who have given their life to making quality hand made Cues and they have put more on the line for their business than any Internet keyboard hero taking potshots from his living room on forums like this.If it is called " Common sense " why is it so rare???

Who cares if the badge is on it and what the hell does it matter to Ding???? Unless he has ulterior motives which is debate able right now but who cares if the Cue makers badge is on a Cue that you asked them to make for you.
Ding asking for it to be removed is way more alarming and more of a talking point than Coutts denying his badge be removed from his own Cue IMO.If it is called " Common sense " why is it so rare???

Wow chappy you seem quite upset about this subject.
My point is ding asked for something which dave didn't want to provide. That's every day dealings not just relevant to cues. I don't see proof of any ulterior motive. I see stranger requests on this forum daily!
Agree with the original postings though dave still shared this news with everyone on fb? He couldn't left dings name out of it and said a customer... Etc
