  • Maple Cue specs

Anyone got any recommendations on Maple cue Specs?

Other than feeling comfortable with the cue, what about the tip size? and shaft? should it be thicker?

    Hi Gary ,

don't you think that is a matter of personal preference? what suits your game!! You might want to consider going to a cue agent ( like Stu green ) and maybe try a few cues, before you buy. This way , You can see what suits your game!!

Gary, its all very personal, the only way to find out is through testing. By the way, where are you from?
a bad player who love cues

I guess Gary is from HK. there's several cue agents in HK, you could test some cues with different specs, then you would find the right spec.

I think a maple shaft plays better with a slimmer taper than usual.
But thats just my little experience with a few cues.
mind control > body control > cue control > ball control

never played with mapel shaft, but that I've heard that as well,,,,
A few weeks ago, tried a few shots with a cue with Maple (Laminated shaft). I have to say, it was amazing!! The response was much more than ash,, imo. They are not cheap, although

yes ,, one piece !!! to be honest, for me it was also the first time. I saw a guy playing (do not know him). so. I asked to try a couple of shots !!! The cue was made by O'Min. I was very impressed with the cue. the only thing i didnt like was the red arrows on the shaft. I have placed my order for one of them with Laminated shaft ( mapel ) last week !! Not by O'Min. I chose for a UK cue maker. imo, the response of these shafts is just amazingly good.playing with side, also much better and easier!!! Anyway,, is the first cue with LM shaft for me , just waiting and see what comes out !!!!!

In this case, you should buy a shaft like Z shaft of Predator. I've played more often with that shaft. (Pool cues). that does not really matter (playability). the only difference is that LM mapel shaft (snooker cues) are denser. .As a result, much better to play snooker.imo !!!!

Oh, okey, sorry about that, I didn't know what you meant!! btw, a few years ago, predator was going to make also snooker cues of the same shaft, (Z shaft). That plan, however, was rejected by express. They found that this shaft are not suitable for snooker!! I'm agree with them,, but ultimately it is the matter of personal preference, I suppose !!!
