      If you like to choose your own shaft make sure you can see all of shaft in one pic and not just top 2/3 rds , that way you will know it's yet to have the butt spliced on .

          About 2 years extra waiting time being the main one presumably...
          You could pick the sapling you want the shaft cutting from given Coutts cues waiting time.

                            i was thinking along the lines of if the cue shaft length to be looked at is ether 49 or 60". where would you say the shaft starts trevs? anyway im sure dave would let you choose your own shaft
