  • New cue

Hi Guys, i recently purchased 2 new cues, Dunns. for a buddy and myself.

Its brand new, and both are playing well. however, after a few frames the cue gets very sticky.

i use a damp cloth, it will work well for 2-3 frames and slowly start getting sticky again.

any advice on how to sort this out or would waiting it out be the best thing.

the cues generally come well oiled and dried out before its get delivered.

simple but often is helpful, do you have clean & dry (really dry) hands when playing?

It's sweat from your hand mate, otherwise the shaft would feel sticky from the off. Use a three finger pool/snooker glove on your bridge hand, pure frictionless cueing at all times.

Was thinking that as the finish on these cues are good 3000 grit works a treat and will keep your cue super smooth and natural feeling for ages .

sand the cue with a 400grit and after a few rubs look at the paper, if there is a white powder on the paper that will tell you theres a lacquer on the cue. it will have a distinguished smell
