This is not on my cue buddy. Sometimes you have to do strange things to satisfy the player.
        He is happy now.

Smart question !! Yes,of course,,Ik think Bungdacue has done and used the same thing here !!
To be honest, I agree with J6. It looks not pretty !!!
I can'nt say anything about playability. I've never tried it,lol....
I think the problem is ( in case u turn that up ), that the FRL diam would be larger than taper diam. So, I wonder,, how they fill the empty space between FRL and taper. With glue ??
Which may affect the playability. anyway,, I hope it works for him.

That was my concern aswell Ramon, but I think the bore of the ferrule is straight and the walls of the ferrule may be thicker at the wider end.

Customer is King so we do what we can to satisfy them.Downside is that the wall thickness of the ferrule is quite thick. If you know the golden rule says to the wall thickness to keep thin then you know that it is not the ideal solution.
The cue does play well. But on my cue I would certainly never places . Better shorten the cue stick in order to get a thicker diameter and then handsplice extenden. I'm Prince to perform such an adjustment to dt it is invisible. That you can not say this conical ferrule.
              Merry Christmas to all

Hi i don't want to hijack the OP query, but does anyone perhaps know where i can find a black fibre ferrule, similar to blackspin but something you can change back to brass ferrule if you are not happy with the results.

i see some guys has developed a black fibre ferrule but not the whole core system, perhaps the same benefits in terms of low deflection and side.

i am really keen to try this so if anyone knows who is selling or even just push me in the direction of someone it will be of great help.

                thanks.

                  Something like this ?? http://www.canadabillard.com/black_f...3_an/p731.aspx

You can also send your cue to Mike Wooldridge / Or Richy (mac cues).
to put a black spin FRL on it !! but considering where you live ( shipping cost ),, that ain't gonna be a cheap operation.
