buying a cue

There's a cue shop in Malta which is closing down and is selling the cues 2 for the price of one, which is good because my mate wants to buy a cue to.
As brands he have cuecrafts but only one modle machine spliced,
Mastercue which for my eye i saw them like rubbish regarding finish and clubmate which i saw the best again for my eye.. Do you have any knowladge regarding clubmate?

I had a look through the window but it only opens from 4-7pm no wonder it is closing down!
