Andy Travis has done some wonderful work on it - lengthen, butt joint and refinish

as it's been worked on by another maker other than TW, would that drastically affect the value?

having played with it for a week or two it's just a little to long for me so I'm thinking of flogging this one and sticking with TW traditional style 1 piece
