I did it a couple of days ago so ebay is obviously taking notice of it!!!!

I asked the seller if he had the receipt from Parris as the cue looked fake. Heard nothing back.

No surprise. I reported it too.

So how come the reports don't show up?

If you want a Classic .....either go to Parris or see if ADR147 has any available would be your best bet .

If lots of people are telling this person its a fake and he ignores it and is still trying to sell it on e-bay or privately on e-bay then he should be banned from e-bay.

People will normally come on the forum after they've purchased a dud, it's good you asked first

Probably because it takes ebay a few days to investigate it and in the meantime some poor sod has already paid good money for a fake cue.

LOTS of fakes on ebay. Even trying to report it is tricky. It is like ebay don't want you to. Hmmmmm.

There's more criminal activity and fraud going on with eBay then anywhere else and you'd be crazy to think anything will ever be done about it.

just yesterday someone hacked my ebay account and tried to sell a Land Rover Defender from my account!
I think the real point of the advert was the email of the "friend I am selling for" in the description I assume would be one of those spamming/phishing/malware type emails
ebay sorted it out in munutes of being on the phone with them.
first time ever been hit in anyway on ebay in 11 years

Still if more people reported fake cues it might help (a bit).

Listing do get taken down but you never know if it was because it was reported or someone bought the cue already (via email).

Ebay says "because of privacy issues" that they can't tell you the result of reporting an item. Wonder if they ever do anything at all given they make fees from every fake sold. Maybe I am too harsh on ebay but I would like to see some of the real dodgy (fraud) sellers reported to the police rather than ebay so some real action can be taken.

Does anyone know of ebay fraud that ended in jail time?

So I'm still private messaging this guy because as far as he is aware he is going to get 250 quid in his account within the next few hours.

I just messaged and asked if he bought it directly off JP and to which he replied..
"My wife bought it for my 30th, 7 years ago. She did buy it on a business trip from London, so I'm guessing so"
me --> "But it says brand new?? did she have a receipt?
Him --> "It's brand new in that I've never used it. Yes she would have got a receipt"

"She won't have it now, it was bought 7 years ago. If you are worried then I'd suggest not to bother. I'd imagine I'll get close to £250 on ebay anyway, so doesn't make a difference to me. Alternatively if you know of a way to spot a fake then I can check that for you. Thanks"

So he definitely hasn't bought this cue from another person not knowing that it is a fake. So fraud for sure.

So dodgy.

Maybe ask if you can look at the cue in person and you will bring cash.
