Can you put a link to this forum so I can see what they are saying about it

      So dodgy.

Maybe ask if you can look at the cue in person and you will bring cash.

      Any other suggestions TSF?
I'm not sure I can be arsed now. He is sticking to his story that his wife bought it and he is in the dark about its authenticy.

      this was the latest dialogue
      "ME:
Ok mate no worries. I think I'm going to let you sell it on ebay as the more I look at the badge the more it doesn't look quite right. the joint is also a bit different to other JP cues...
Sorry to waste your time and I hope it is genuine. You wife must surely have known if she bought it off JP directly from his shop in London??"

      "HIM:
I'm sure she would but at the time I never asked, as why would I?"

Maybe tell him you have sent the pics to JP himself and he says it is fake so he had better take it down or the police will be involved.

My favourite players: Walter Lindrum (AUS), Neil Robertson (AUS), Eddie Charlton (AUS), Robby Foldvari (AUS), Vinnie Calabrese (AUS), Jimmy White, Stephen Hendry, Alex Higgins, Ronnie O'Sullivan, Dominic Dale and Barry Hawkins.
          I dream of a 147 (but would be happy with a 100)

                  Parris Cues

I emailed him through fleabay about it & he said it was a few years old.

So I asked how could it be new then?

Got no reply to that question!!

Just to say, the difference between the Classic and the other models is the grade of shaft. I asked JP about this and he said that his personal opinion will determine which model is which. So a virtually top of the range, clean shaft with very even points might, in his opinion, fit into the Paragon range while another might be deemed a Regency or an Elite etc.

Both Neil Robertson and Barry Hawkins use a Parris Classic cue.

The badges normally are cream, not bright white......was cream on the JP I owned eon's ago.

this is why people come to me - ebay is a dangerous game if you don't know what you are looking at.

The fakers are getting so good that even experienced retailers are being conned with boxes of dodgy tips I've heard. Eventually, some fakerl is going to get the Thais to do a great cue, then slip a JP/TW/MW badge on and no-one will notice the difference or if they do, they may end up believing they are being unduly cynical. I can see this happening, it's the next logical step for the fakers when cues are worth a grand.

There are some good sellers on eBay such as Welsh Pool. I would never ever buy a Parris cue off eBay.

eBay is a minefield. Glad a member didn't get fleeced. Beware!

Luckily the people with a bit of common sense use this forum and a good few use the page on FB too, thankfully.

in reality the fakes are always chinese, the thais can sell their cues with their own badge because quality speaks for itself.
