Looking for someone to undertake a project for me and is available without waiting months.
Long story short. I bought a Hunt & O'Byrne 1 piece 23 years ago direct from their shop. I used it a few years and got someone local to lengthen it by adding splices at the bottom. They removed the badge and left the bottom blank (if only I knew what I do now ). I sold it and have recently tracked it down. It is in a right old state as someone has literally sawn off a few inches off the end and used it for pool.
I'm looking for someone who could re-splice a new plain ebony butt onto it. It needs a new ferrule, refinish, dents fixed, re-weighting etc and I would like a butt joint fitted. It wouldn't please the arrow lovers on here as it isn't pretty but it has a really tight straight side grain and I reckon it could be a player again. If they could add a 'customised' badge, or badge with my name on or just leave it blank that would be great.
I just want it looking like new again. It wouldn't be sold as it is just to see how it would play and there is sentiment involved as it is the cue I got my PB with many years ago!
