  • Best posting option for 1 piece cue

After posting my cue in panjo, I researched prices for posting it , in the UK, fully insured
( cart in front of the horse, and all that ).

Cheapest I could find was £40 ( TNT ) ! is that the norm ? Is there a better way ?

    Length will be 149cm x 6cm x 6cm.

You will pay that sort of money ,my friend . I posted a Parris Special to London last year , fully insured to £600 via Parcel Force 48 & it cost somewhere between £40 - £50 , expensive I know but I wanted peace of mind and a fully tracked and insured service. I got round it by passing the cost on to the customer. I asked first , priced it up , informed the buyer and they were happy to pay . I know it can be done cheaper but " high end " cues , I tend to pay extra to get it there.

Is parcel 48 at the post office not insured for around £500, only costs around £12 just keep length below 150cms.

I can send a 1 piece cue via next day courier insured up to £500 for £17.62 and up to £1000 for £21.22. Soon it will be £1.25 cheaper for me also

Yes Andy a 1.5 m ( max ) parcel i.e. cue in a tube below a kilo usually costs me £11.99 inc VAT , but that is only to a value of £100 , with Parcel Force 48 . You have to pay extra to insure for a higher value.
