  • Cue for beginner!

I am new to the forum and I'm just wondering what cue I should get. I have a Riley one from argos that isn't great and I'd like to get one that comes with extenders and a case can anyone recommend me one for around £70-£80

    Cheers

Buy yourself a cheap woods cue off ebay with a case and extensions for under £70. It will do you just fine until you see if you like the game and make any progress with your breaks. Just put a decent tip on it before you begin.

O'min cue from Welsh Pool on ebay, he's a member on here as well if you want to message him. Great cues for the money.

I played with one of these for the last 3 years until a recent upgrade and was quite happy with it. For the money it's hard to beat.

I have one of those Amazon bobbins, well a similar one, they're all mass produced in China anyway, just mine has a different badge. Not too bad a cue by any means, and it comes with a case, so you don't have to buy a new case when you upgrade. The extension feels cheap and plasticy though, I actually prefer to use a push on one, mainly because it's quicker, and they might not fit on to a new cue if you buy one.

I've never really played with an expensive cue but I think it's similar to an expensive guitar. A cheap one will sound/play as good as an expensive one in the right hands, but the expensive one will feel nicer to play, although you won't really appreciate the difference unless you've been playing a while, just my 2p.

Oops my bad! Welcome to the forum anyways.
I have a few woods cues in my rack for mates to use. They play pretty well, the cues I mean not my mates! Andrewpand ( or something like this is his ebay seller name) sells some nice ones with extensions usually.

I've picked this cue out of the ones I've seen so far. Not too sure about it at the moment, give me your opinions on whether it will be a good start

You havn't said exactly which one (as that's a multiple listing with just a few left) but yes for your budget you will not do any better.
