I don't think people would mind so much you praising up Parris ultimates if you actually owned one yourself as that would give your opinions a little more credibility so to speak. Its no different in someone joining the car forum and owning 1.0 injection fiesta yet spending all day putting every other car down yet juicing up BMW M3's all day.

There's no reason (economic or any other) for JP to lie about his cues being traditionally hand made. He can easily afford staff to plane a shaft. He's an honourable man, very well respected and liked in the snooker world. Unless you can show his guys use lathes, I believe the phrase is innocent until proven guilty. If he says he uses planes, you need to come up with some compelling evidence to the contrary for me to take you seriously.
