Question for the cuemakers please regards removing the female side of a brass joint (butt side). Is the only way to remove it by drilling it out and fitting a new joint? I know the joints are part threaded but am I correct in thinking no one bothers to tap the hole and they are just glued in.

Thank you Andy, that sounds like a good plan. Would one of those mini pencil blow torches get it hot enough?Last edited by Maverick54; 27 May 2015, 06:17 PM."When everything seems to be going against you, remember that the airplane takes off against the wind, not with it." - Henry Ford

That's great info thanks and yes as you say should the joint need to be heated up again in the future to change it then sounds like Araldite would be the best bet.
Appreciate all the advice now to put it into practice"When everything seems to be going against you, remember that the airplane takes off against the wind, not with it." - Henry Ford
