  • The most beautiful cue ever....

I'm sure we have all seen cues either on here or in the club that we have lusted after, maybe even developed a little twitch in the trouser department. I recall seeing a Trevor White cue on here, ash shaft, ebony butt with splices of Karelian (I think) birch, no cue has ever come close in the looks department, not even my Maximus. I remember ADR saying to the owner "you had better be a good player when you get that out in the club", or words to that effect. There's pics of it on here somewhere but I'm not wading through the pics thread. Special mention to Jim Black's cues, every one I've seen looks soooo classy.

Traditional style plain black ebony butt for me any day of the week, for me it oozes class IMHO. At first I thought cues with all these fancy woods look nice but after a while they tend to lose their appeal and actually to the point they look less like a cue.

Black dinner suit, black tie. Can't beat it in cues either. THE classic look. Obviously Ronnie's and Hendry's patterns are now classics themselves as so many have been made by every cue maker. But I don't rate these three as the most beautiful ,the most classic yeah. But beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Ordered my new cue in the classic style as well .

Does look good ash and ebony . I really don't like the Traditional style .....so many people have it , find it quite boring .

To me the look of the ash shaft accentuates the beauty of a cue. Doesnt hurt having a single thick splice of snakewood too.

If I was to pick an old cue then without a doubt I would pick the old B & W Eureka it is a timeless classic - marvellous cue, a modern cue then the long splice JP mannock replica type. Failing that plain black REAL ebony

there are quite a few pictures of really nice cues on the maximus facebook page, i don't think i've seen cues as nice from any other maker. I like tulipwood , cocobolo and snakewood

I was in his showroom 2 months back and I must say was totally impressed with his quality and styles of cues. Whatever your choice of woods shaft (even arrow count, grain type and stiffness)and style you want he has it. So think it and he probably will b able to make it. Your dream cue
