You ask a Pro what size tip they use......most have no idea .

Ronnie is fussy with his cues , as he knows exactly what he wants .

Remember that he ordered about 5 cues from Robert Osborne , all the same specs and found only one to his liking . And i believe that John Parris made a
few for him and again chose the one best suited to him .
Still trying to pot as many balls as i can !

The flat in his cue being small, makes no difference to a plate being fitted. It's just the same as fitting one into a round butt. Like I said previously, I made one for him to exact spec, so no reason for any other cue maker not to be able to do the same. And it's not any more difficult to do his spec.

Ive just looked at his match and it does look like hes using the same cue.

Always wondered why that is ........but having spoken to a few Pro's , they have never heard of many of the ' Other ' Cue Makers .

Marco Fu was surprised that i knew who Reg Wright was .

Tony Drago had never heard of Trevor White either .

Many snooker players have never heard of MW, TW, Robert Osbourne etc. etc. until they come onto this forum and hear the names banded about.
We tell folk how good their cues are and then they all want one as they think it will make them a great player.
We are all guilty of costing plenty of hard working people thousands of pounds a year.
Perhaps we should be on a commision

I have thinking about put the badge at the back side.

But finally without badge people still know the cue made by me.

Also Ding said nothing about the badge.

My opinion. Give Ding a broom handle with a tip and have him go back to Nic and he will start winning again

That's right, even TD agrees with me and he's just a dodgy coach with no snooker knowledge.

Fellas, most club players have no clue about tips and no interest in splices and specs and collectables. The cue addicts on here are geeks. Most club players and pros ain't geeks. Bingo and Dale yeah, they're geeks. Ronnie and Ding; particular about kit but Robbo and Trump ain't fussed, most ain't. Mags changes a lot cues but most pros and club players don't. They get on with playing or being coached. Ding won a load of trophies so if he is playing with his Stamford after cue makers making him a dozen cues, that's great.

Does it prove Stamford is the best afterall?
