I personally think for a break cue you need to go lighter. Jim made me a cracker! It is 58" 11mm tip and only ways 16 oz's!
Did you put my "1" up ?

Nice reply to a new member asking a simple enough question, never mind straight chevrons and how many, plenty on here with good advice, go for a lighter cue, dont need a baseball bat for pool.

Steve Daking did an experiment breaking with an American pool cue and a 16oz snooker cue, breaking 100 times with each and it turned out he had more success with the light snooker cue

Tried all sorts 9 Ball cues, heavy snooker cues (20oz) gone back to breaking with my playing cue (17.5 oz) concentrate on a good cue action and you'll split the balls just as easy.

I have seen him break, if he lifts his skirt up and stops hitting them like a girl, he will be fine

Hit hard, hope harder and if I'm feeling brave I'll even keep my eyes open at the same time

Yeh hit hard. Im breaking well at the moment but the reason im thinking of getting a break cue is im considering puting a super soft tip on playing cue and been told it could deform easily if breaking alot so want to purchase break cue so can put a hard tip on the end and pray my break stays as good as it has been haha!
