So basically you just don't like this cue that you just bought? Did you try it out in the shop then?

The cue is genuine, it's where some of it is from is the question!

I do like the cue, it's really good but my mate has a parris that I really like that he's selling so I might buy it off him if this one sells.

I'm nowhere near a cue expert and probably know less than a lot of people here but I highly doubt john parris would have any affiliation with any other cue maker, there would be no need to have parts made elsewhere.

I know what I was told and from someone with a high stature and more know how in the game than 99% of people on this forum and certainly more than the team of trolls who have turned up lately.

Think about it - a cue maker who can't keep up with orders and claims to hand plane every shaft for every cue range, leaving them for months to settle, can start banging out stock cues for the shop!

You might be right but who knows, the only person who knows would be john.
There are other cues in the shop to buy on the day like all his other cues in the range, and as there was only a few of these unique cues available I highly doubt there imported shafts or anything like that other wise I'm sure there would be more available. Just my guess tho. What do I know, I'm just a customer and don't know anything about cue making

Well if was waiting for my JP to be made and was 18 months in and heard he had a new range out, I would be straight onto the Silver Fox.

John, what's the craic? I've been waiting 18 months and you've used one of your precious secret sourced rested hand planed shafts on a stock cue.

Well as luck would have it, mine ticked over to 18 months on tuesday. Maybe I should ask the question. But I completely agree with you on your previous post!!!!

I too waited 18 months for a Jp special cue but I'm sure your shaft your getting is going to be awesome that's why there's a long wait, with stock cues I guess it's just luck what you get really, some great, some not so. I'm no expert but I'm sure his best shafts are kept for ultimates and don't end up on stock cues. I guess with stock cues it's luck with what you get, I spent a few hours picking my cue

Too many people think a decent quality shaft means evenly spaced arrows on the shaft when in fact this is far from the truth, Trevor, wooldridge, and Glover will all tell you their best quality shafts are not those that look the best.
