The listing will be ended early and he will do a deal with someone off ebay. He's renowned for it.

Another gimmick those laminated shafts in snooker designed specifically for cue collectors rather then the serious players IMO.

Defiantly I'm sure they will play fine, for me a bit like the black spin only a select few will go down this route.

To all you cue makers or people who know what they're on about, how strong in all honesty are these shafts, in other words would the laminates so to speak come away over time if that make sense.

I think the continuous impact on the shaft would eventually take its toll if there are any faults or dry spots within the shaft, but as its still early days I suppose only time will tell?

Cheers mate agree time will tell I suppose, I wouldn't want to be the dummy who spends a grand on a supreme cue off coutts only for it to go wrong.

I had Richy MacDonald do a custom laminated cue for me and have been using it now for about 3 weeks or so. I find it played better than my custom MW cue I had been using for 2 years or so.

I also had a friend over for a practice session and he tried it out and loved the hit on it.

Now it just might be that the shaft flex is more to my liking but I found my long potting average went up with no degradation of control when I'm in the balls. In fairness I have a thin-walled titanium ferrule at 9.3mm along with a good Elk Master tip. The shaft is very smooth (maple & walnut) and I find it doesn't get sticky at all although the humidity in my facility is kept low, around 40% or so.

Well, I also play with LM shaft made by Richy !! Plays just much better comperd to other cues I had !!
But is also a matter of personal preference Terry !! Sum people just do'nt like it !!
Also sum players can'nt get on with it !! Playing with these shafts requires a very good timing in ur cue action and very smth cue action !! The wood has diff characterism comperd to ash imo !!
Anyway !! I think if Sumone is intrested , would be better to try first before order one !!

My current cue is Niche Ultimate, plain ebony with lammy shaft.
Been using about 3months, so far so good.
Just replaced the tip to G2 hard layered tip.
                            Felt even better
