Wish i had a criminal mind to follow this lol, so when the buyer pays by paypal, how does the crook get the money ?? even if he has also hacked the paypal account (unlikely) when you withdraw the dosh that would go straight to the legit owners bank ???

the paypal connected to the advert will be different. the a/c will be emptied and closed straight away. this is when you discover than all the so called protection they offer is nonsense!

Andrew,, with all due respect, But this is impossible !!!
Even if they hack the Paypal account of Sumone els ( his pas wrd in this case ) , they gonna have to open a new ( 2e ) account ( Paypal account ) !!! In this case they gonna have to use a bank account number Or a credit card number to open the 2e Paypal account ( !I can assure you, That's mandatory ) !!!!!
in this case , Paypal will notice that the name of this person ( the name on his bank Or Credit card account ) IS NOT THE SAME NAME as the real account owner !!
Btw ,,, Paypal always transfers money ( a smal amount) to the account of the new owner and send a code to him !! Than this person has to send the same code back !! Paypal does this always to make sure that new owner does'nt use the name Or account of Sumone els !! Otherwis he get No money transferd on his account !!
so this idiot who did this , must have used sum other kind of trick here !! I hope they report his name to eBay . To be honest , would'nt surprise me if he trys this kind of activities again , lol !!!!!

tis not impossible - you would be amazed how common it is - I have spent a fair bit of time on the phone to paypals security team - it is a growth industry, however in the case the seller was just stealing my photos - he got in touch to say sorry!

lol the other trick is when you sell something people claim their card was used by somebody else and paypal will refund it automatically and you get nothing!

honestly I think the best way to pay is just useing credit card !! so many people choose to pay with PayPal cus of this money refund policy !! Which seems not to be safe !!

Wicked people with wicked schemes exist everywhere, all we can do is to take extra precaution. I was thankful to Paypal after successfully retrieving my refund of over £100 from a seller in HK as he was using fake tracking shipment number.

Another one is the scam they use when they pay you with paypal and then later offer come come and collect the item.
You're not covered at all under the paypal terms if you don't ship to the verified address - lost plenty of sales over this is the past, but better than being conned.

Paypal has helped many people, no doubt about that !! but hacking sumone's credit card is much more difficult !! Imo .
