My mates got one so gonna give it a try today, probably needs a new tip as it hasn't been used for years and I should be able to get it on cheap if I decide to take it.
OK picked up the cue today, thought it was a 1 piece but turns out it's a 3/4 cue, I've already replaced the tip and give the cue an oil and buff and polish...looks like new!!
Specs :
North West 2006 3/4 ash cue
Length: 59.25",
Weight 21 ozs
Tip : 9mm
Balance 18 inches
Comes with North West mini-butt and tele-extension
I've had a few shots with it and it has a really solid feel to the cue, it may take some getting used to the weight though as it's a fair bit heavier than my TW mast cue which is 19ozs, cue length is also longer but I can easily adjust my grip to compensate...can't really say right now whether it's gonna be a keeper until I've had a few hours of proper practice with it. When I tried it out for a few minutes earlier in the day It still had the old tip fitted so It should now be more playable. I'll keep you posted and let you know how I get on with it.
BTW what would you say would be a reasonable offer for this cue If I decide to keep it??
dunno they don't generally sell well but nice ones do - its kind of variable thing on this cue brand seen some brilliant ones and some bad ones but anything from 150-350
about 200 250 for a decent one I'd say with the right stuff
Okay tried it out enough now to know whether I'm gonna buy it or not and I've decided against it. It's not the cue that's the problem in fact it plays really well but after putting it down after 2 hours and then picking up my TW there was a clear difference in the performance of both cues, most notably the feel and control for those delicate little screw and stun shots required for good break building around the pink and black spot, it must have been the additional weight in the NW cue making close cue ball control harder to achieve. I'm sure the cue would suit someone else but it's just not for me.

Stick it up on the panjo page. I'm sure if the price is right, it'll go.
