I do agree with you that sum matters should be discussed in private.
But you have to realize, as the name says, this is a forum.I have seen no indication here : JP is not allowed to enjoy this forum and give his comments about diff matters regarding him.
Personally, it would be an honor for me if he comes here and communicate with us about diff topics. so i can learn sumthing.
btw, belive it or not , JP is not the only one . it's true Maybe he gets sum extra attention compared to others ( sumthing I can understand, that guy is world famous after all). but on this forum , everyone have to deal with this kind of stuff ( even a poor idiot like me !! ).
as long as it happens in the context of respect, should be no problem to give ur opinion ( even if it's the wrong one ).Last edited by Ramon; 21 October 2015, 08:49 PM.

I have had a number of his cues knowing this. The reason I posted the thread was because a month or two ago a certain masterblaster was giving it all that about how all of johns cues were hand planed. This picture clearly shows the opposite, thats all I was showing. However whether they are turned on site or not I'm not sure. The cuts on the shafts did look fairly industrial though.
Couldn't you have taken the opportunity to ask him about the shafts whilst in his shop rather than surmising about what they might be? Sorry but you are banged to rights and JP wasn't happy about the fact you took these photos and decided to put them on here for all to see and comment about. You owe him an apology simple as, you created this situation the least you can do is apologise.

You said in your original post that when John went out back to get your cue you took a couple of sneaky pictures. You knew full well what those pictures would do. You could have asked John what those shafts were for or been a brave little boy and asked him out right if they were lathe turned.
I understand Mr Rogozinsky that you make cues. In fact I have seen one recently on eBay that didn't sell. Shall we start commenting on cheap shafts, poor splicings etc,,,, you get my point.
I fully back what Cueman has said and that you knew exactly what you would achieve by posting those pictures.

I did not say while John went to the back room!! I just said while fetching my cue from the back room. There was no need to ask what they were for, it was also very obvious they were turned on a lathe. You obviously have an affinity with John????

I need to know more about Thai-gate. It's obviously certain cue makers getting caught using Thai shafts. It was mentioned that JO is one but is there proof or just people guessing and storing s**t for people. How do we know for sure that RC, MW and TW to name a few are not using Thai imported shafts?

JO did say he used a number of pre-turned shafts - or was it premade cues which he splices/badged/finished? - but it was a low number (under 10 I believe) and I recall he said he contacted all the owners to explain the situation.Up the TSF! :snooker:
