  • Are Omin cues made in China ?

Found this on interweb, seems to suggest Omin cues are now being made under licence in China, they list an Omin "Enlighten" which does not appear on Omin website ?

        The link doesn't work ??
I believe the "Enlighten" is one of the Chinese ones, if it doesn't appear on the official O'Min site then suspect it's a cheaper one

for many years there has been a Chinese "Omin" company supposedly under licence from Mr Omin Thailand, there seems to have been a misunderstanding between them but Thailand has not been able (or possible) to stop their infringement as he never registered his name or company. As many small Thai companies don't.
So yes there are two "omin" companies out there

Is there any way of telling Chinese from Thai cues, sure i read somewhere threads are different ie genuine Omin mini butts & extensions will not fit, watching one on e bay at moment only doing 50 odd quid with extensions, has picture of joint with Omin stamped in?

Messaged the seller asking if Thai or Chinese,

Hello Rob,I buy these cues from a third party British supplier of Omin Cues, so im not sure either way, I can guarantee that the cues are very well made and play well..Many thanks
Either way seem good value for £50 odd quid
