Quick question, does the balance point of a cue have a bearing on how a cue performs?
I'm looking at one which has a balance point of 19" and a weight of 17.5 oz (cue length 57.5")

yes - this is not an easy question for a one sentence answer but 19" from the base is pretty forward weighted.

I found an old thread in which the subject of the balance point was skirted around as it may take a bit of explaining. Just wondered how much of a difference this would make.

that may depend on you, as whats not for 9/10 players might be great for you.

generally speaking most folk would prefer the balance point to be central weighted (not in the centre of the cue length), or if not then "back weighted" on the cue. horses for courses....

if you could try the cue before buying, itd be an advantage, to see if you "get on" with it straight away.....

generally people like the weighting to be about 18" from the butt end.
