Lol yeah ordered on the 30/06/14 with a supposed lead time (then) of 8-12 months.

Got the email saying it was in progress a few weeks back and got myself all excited till a few learned members on here pointed out I will probably have another years wait !!. Though I'm not too bothered now cause I have a MW Black Legend which is just simply amazing.

It's good when your not too bothered about the lead time cause you have a good cue. There are people who are counting each day and thats when its a real hustle!

I had Black Legend as well and was a thing of beauty!! Just playing wise I felt as if it was missing life in it.. I think it had to do with it's balance point, and also the stiffness of the shaft. I eventually gave it away after several attempts playing with is.

I'm waiting on a cue Andy Hunter is making for me. That's assuming it passes the thorough testing Andy puts them through.

If not, it's in the bin, and start again !!

No such problem for me luckily , it's 2oz heavier at 19oz and 3/4" (at 58 1/4")longer than the cue I played with for 25+ years but I always kinda knew I wanted/ needed a loner and heavier cue and it plays beautifully and looks just as good, pity I can't do it justice lol and my ultimate is going to need to be some kind of perfect cue to beat it. I can't honestly see me ditching the legend , ever! Mad eh but that's the bug I suppose.....

Well, that's one of the reasons why sum people sell JP cues after such a long waiting time . it's about 3 yrs waiting. they buy a cue to play the game with it until their JP is ready. Once JP cue is ready, they will notice the cue does'nt suits their game. not because JP cues are poor (absolutely not). they are just used to the cue they have played with for the past three years.
Anyway , I hope ur cue suits ur game and if Not , you can always sell it and get ur money back . JP cues have a good resal value.

There is the TW Amboyna with the thick veneers and the 4 splicings... I mean this (not doing the Tulip MW any injustice) is without a doubt the most decorative cue I've owned. I remember seeing the famous picture of that cue Trevor made with 4 cocobolo and thick maple veneers... and I was like, ok this is the cue I want!!! Only difference I made was having it with Amboyna burr instead of the Cocobolo. The result was beautiful but that's that because playing wise it was just never there no matter how many times i've tried. Might be spec since it has a smaller tip but I doubt... just a bad playing cue is what that one is. Still nice for a collection.

I'll try finding a picture of that cocobolo TW and post it here.

There used to be a site coming up when searching for Trevor White Cues with many pictures of cues he made. It seems as if it disappeared for some reason, and therefore I couldn't find the picture of that Cocobolo cue. Doesn't anyone know which one I mean?

I'm sending some cues and cases away tomorrow... These go to a collector in Hong Kong.

That black hard case I must have gotten in Vienna around 6 years back for a BCE cue I used to have.

The CJ 1 pc case was a special order that came with some difficulties. Eventually i was quite happy with the result but the case always seemed a bit too large and bit too heavy to carry around.

Cues wise, well there is the Olivewood JPU (Ronnie Replica) which I got from the billiards club owner here in Moscow for a fortune! Highest break with this cue was a 41, but I always felt limited in my game with it... I guess it just missed some firepower!

The MW Tulip is a pure work of art, top notch quality cue. It's actually the 3rd cue I had from Mike after the 1st 2 didn't fare too well. He was over the moon when I told him I am over the moon with this cue It is a very powerful cue and I always felt very consistent with it. There were several 30 breaks but above all a great tournament win against some local favourites. Black Spin - nothing much besides a PR thing.

And of course since it's christmas so I included some delicacies for the new owner

These go out to a friendly chap from Canada.

Lewis case was never used by me since I started playing with 1pc cues soon after I got it.

The 1pc Brown/Tan Stamford I got to match Olivewood JPU. Used this case for a long while and was always happy with it. Only thing is the brass fittings who got rusty pretty fast. ALWAYS GET CHROME FITTING WHEN BUYING A STAMFORD CASE!

The Blue Stamford was my first leather case. They had some cases on stock and I told them about my snakewood JPU with the blue veneers and they recommended this case to match it. I'm a being nostalgic as this was the case I was using when first starting to play some serious snooker. It's a beautiful beautiful case and I'm not if i'm happy or sad giving it away I'm a bit sentimental as it's just been that kind of day as I gave my dog away this morning... btw you can check him up on IG under 'mustangthegreatest'.

The JPU I got personally from John as I was in London and decided to give him a visit. I was very lucky to find an Ultimate on one of his shelves. I played my first half century after 4-5 years and my 2nd in total with this cue. It's a very good player as it gives you such a great feel for every shot, I mean the response of it is just fantastic.

Ok time to sleep now... big day tomorrow
