  • Small knots in a cue, any issue?

I got myself a new cue at the weekend, it plays really well.

It wasn't until a mate had a go with it Monday he noticed a small knot in the ash shaft, it's about the size of a pin head and can be seen both side of the cue.

Has anyone had experience of a cue with a knot in?, can it cause problems?, I got the cue sat ( Phoenix master 3/4)

Sorry for typos etc using iphone

      Causes no problems at all.
I have had a few cues with knots and never been a issue, I quite like the look of them actually a good talking point when someone notices.

        no.

bigger knots can cause movement but even then, if the wood has been worked slowly and allowed to settle, there will be no issue there either.

I sent one back like that, partly because the maker had been bit sneaky and concealed it in photos.
