players from a american pool background seems to use their pool cues with 12,5-to 13mm tip sizes. The snooker players use their snooker cues. The chinese players seems to use both type of cues. So i guess it´s what you are used to. As a player of both snooker and american pool I would go with something in the middle - ca 11,5mm and a taper on the more stiffer side - more like the taper on a snooker cue than a pool cue.

Pretty sure Gareth Potts had his Chinese cue made with an 11.75mm tip

There's no way of telling if it's a blackspin from a photograph of the outside of the cue.

It's just another ferrule that is black in colour ( just looking at a pic, it could be carbon fibre, plastic, coal, etc ).

All the blackspin stuff is going on, inside the first few inches ( -ish ) of the shaft.

Settled then, definitely not Blackspin, as Mikes blackspin isn't carbon fibre.

You always believe what people tell you?

Why is it carbon Fibre?? Cause Gareth said it is? There is also a heap of variants of Carbon Fibre!

Look it may not be a BS but gee whiz that looks identical to one and the Cue is also very similar to a MW Legend!

                          Let the conspiracies begin folks!
