Forgot to ask, how was the packaging for the cue, tough and secure? Well protected?

Yeah, the packaging was perfectly secure. Cue was inside a long plastic sleeve, inside a long plastic tube, which was inside a rectangular cardboard box. No problems there

Jack was helpful throughout and kept me updated with pictures during and after its completion. It is an exquisite maple shaft with a nice silky smooth finish all over. After having purchased a sub-par John Parris Elite cue 6 months prior, which came with a large ugly knot in the Tulip wood splice, and a poor finish on the ebony, I was hesitant about what I may receive from Ton Praram, but I can honestly say the craftsmanship is excellent.
Below are some before and after images of the cue

Do you get the little butt screw in as standard?

When Stupree brought a few TP cues over for a friend to checkout (and eventually buy one) they all had the butt-plug, same spirolock type joint they use for the extensions.
Handy for when finding extensions after-the-fact

Thanks. Couldn't be happier. The specs are 1pc Maple with Curly Maple veneer and Rosewood, 18oz, 58", 9.75mm tip. Couldn't tell you what the balance point is as I left that for him to decide what was best

You not got a tape measure then?

Never felt the need to find out. I wouldn't be able to tell you if it was too far forward or too far backwards, so no point me specifying where I wanted it. I just trusted he would set it at the optimum point

I meant to find out where it actually is, just for future reference

I'll check it out tonight when I get back as its piqued my interest now. Never knew anything about balance points before I started coming on this site and just assumed all were roughly the same, give or take.
