After having purchased a sub-par John Parris Elite cue 6 months prior, which came with a large ugly knot in the Tulip wood splice, and a poor finish on the ebony, I was hesitant about what I may receive from Ton Praram, but I can honestly say the craftsmanship is excellent.

Below are some before and after images of the cue

Somehow, yes, unbelievable.....6-7 months to wait, OK, fair enough. But going for 3 years......can't understand it.

Did you specify rigidity of the shaft? Thinking of snagging one but not sure if its worth saying id want a stiff maple shaft or not.

No I never mentioned anything in regards to shaft stiffness, but I'm certain that if you mention it he would do his best to select the right one for you. He always answered any questions I had by WhatsApp. I would say my shaft is quite stiff, certainly in regards to an old Peradon I have which is quite whippy, but it is less stiff than my John Parris Elite cue, which incidentally I just could not get used to, hence why I ordered a new cue. Although everybody has their own preference for their playing cue, I have to say the feel of the shot is fantastic with the TP, and am really glad with the way it turned out.

Hmmm, i'm not sure. Contact him on WhatsApp as he likes to communicate using that. That's what I had to do as I had an issue where I didn't receive the email with my specs and link to pay. Most of his replys came in the early hours due to the time difference but he always answered any questions I had

                      Excellent, thanks

How did the price work out vs buying from say GBL? Assuming you're in the UK?

Also, I paid £40 shipping costs and about £30 customs charges so keep that in mind

Well I looked at GreenBaize, but I specifically wanted a TP III Beyond series and none of their styles stood out for me so I went direct. Bought a lovely case from GreenBaize though just a couple of weeks ago

Thanks for the info. There's some lovely cues on that site, even the series 1's look great.

Is it just the designs that determine if it's a series 1,2 or Beyond?

No, its generally down to the aesthetics. You can read more on their ranges here
