  • Looking for a James Butters?

    There was a James Butters' cue enthusiast on here but can't find/ remember who it was. Does anyone have any idea who it was? Could it be tetrecki? I haven't the option to pm anyone for some reason. Thanks

    I have one badged (furthest left), and five unbadged Butters cues here. I'm not planning on selling them, I'm afraid.

        Not really, I doubt he wants to buy them back, even less than I want to sell them.

        Oh, I see what you mean.

          Thanks for the reply! I thought it was you that collected them. Wasn't sure tho. I have a cue in the garage which is unbadged & wondered if it was a butters' or not. I'll post a pic up tomorrow for you to look at. It had some squarish joint/thread with it if you know what I mean?

                I've got a 3/4 jointed unbadged one that I could move on. If your interested, i'll put it on panjo. .

                Oops, just realised you aren't really looking for a Butters cue to buy, more to see if yours IS a Butters.

                Can't help it, it's an instinctive reaction to sell, LOL

                    Ah right. Never mind. Iv a cue at the moment that weighs 19oz. Feels heavy. Almost like there is no feeling to the shot?? I'm after something that is 17oz. Heard JB was a nice playing cue. Any pics billabong?

                        I'll put up pics and specs tomorrow. Need to take it into work to give it a proper measuring to.

                          Well a good measuring to has been done.

                          Butters is Maple ( no measuring done to establish that ), 3/4 jointed at 15.3"

                          Length = 57.75"

                          Tip = 9.2mm

                          Butt = 29.5mm

                          Weight = 18.5oz

                          Balance point = 16.75"
