Currently just preparing to get back into it from a long absence, so current level will be poor though hopefully not for long

Cool, will pick some up soon then just in case they sell out?

I was similar, I gave up and didn't play for 20 years but as I progressed I gradually picked up all the bits.

DM, I got a set of TCs off eBay in what I can only describe as brand new condition, for half the price(£60 delivered). I weighed them all and they were all within + - 1g of each other except the green that was 2g out so its worth keeping an eye out on there.
This is how you play darts ,MVG two nines in the same match!

What's the general consensus on Niche cues (looking at the Excellence range ATM) and also Phoenix cues too, any good?

            Thanks

Take the leap, sooner you buy a nice cue the sooner you will get used to it. A new cue won't make you play better but practice will.

I used to be indecisive but now I'm not so sure lol

I'm just trying to make sure that the cue I buy is well made, well finished etc.. and the best for the money I'm spending, I'm not worried about the cue making me a better player, I'll adapt anyway over time

All the cues you mention are good cue makers, the man to ask is adr147 he deals with every make of cue. He'd sort you a cue out no problem as well.

I'm pretty sure in an earlier post you said you wanted to get the cue from green baize as they had been so helpful. Hand on heart, i can honestly say Stu won't steer you wrong.
He's a genuinely nice guy with a lot of knowledge and he always goes above and beyond to make sure his customers are happy. He hasn't built up the reputation he has by Accident.

The same can also be said about ADR147. So which ever way you go, you'll end up with the best possible cue for your money.

Yeah I want to buy from GBL, just trying to find one I want

Decided against Phoenix now, so its either a Mastercue or something more swish, haven't decided yet (if my Dell Venue Pro tablet sells soon then I'll treat myself) :snooker:

Appreciate everyone's help so far, its been most appreciated and very useful

Are all 1pc cues weighted inside? Are 3/4 cues ever weighted?

I don't want to buy a weighted cue as it'll be a source of problems down the line, so just trying to buy smart now?

most cues are weighted - no reason why that would ever be a problem.
