  • 2 x cue valuations please

Here we have 2 top end cues my mate just bought.I dont know how much he paid he just wants to know if he got a good deal or not?

I am pretty sure they are not replicas.both play really well.

the Will Hunt is snooker spec, not sure of exact specs but approx -
    57inch,9.5 tip,approx 17 oz

the Tony Wilshaw has been probably been altered a bit for pool by the looks of it
    About 56.5 inch,9mm tip,16-17 oz

both have excellent shafts and are in excellent condition

I'd say around £250 each, never seen the joint on the Hunt cues, but this looks more like the joint used by Kevin Muncaster, also used by blue moon and Barracuda, cues got a bit of a bad rep as he was getting them made abroad and then just finishing them. Tony Wilshaw makes a nice cue though, just never seem to achieve there value.
No one is listening until you make a mistake!

looks similar to one in the Hunt&OByrne catalogue from 1990s
remember that Hunt and Hunt&OB did not have facilities to do joints so farmed that job out, hence they had many types of joints
      Up the TSF! :snooker:

The hunt looks like a 90s one not one of those new ones and it looks a nice cue I would say easy £500 + they love these in China. the wilshaw might not be to everyone's taste Just noticed the specs on the wilshaw it will effect the value but if a pool player is looking for a nice cue and likes the butt design who knows £300 ish but without knowing what was paid how are you going to know if he got a good deal.

Are you sure that the Hunt is a 90's cue ? If so , worth considerably more than £500
Still trying to pot as many balls as i can !

I think it is its one of many joints he used in that time frame they pay a lot more for hunt and obryne cues than hunt cues but yes maybe a bit low £800 maybe a bit more.

The hunt cue looks to be one of the newer ones imo, i'm nearly sure he had a very different badge when making them by himself and that newer style of badge came in for the ones he finishes and puts a badge into. If you check his facebook page that joint is also on the newer cues.

Found out the asking price for them both is 550.
I'm gonna offer a swap of similar value
would really like to know if the Hunt is a 90's or not.
                            How do i find out?
thanks for the estimates guys........it's clear as mud now lol.
