This design is a bit nutty as well

    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/John-Parri...QAAOSwP~tW3c8h

For the amount of snakewood used i'm surprised it came out at 19-oz. Prefer plain black myself and not a "look at me" design. About the most ive went on design is the cue ive on order with ton praram, double face splice, bottom splice ebony middle reddish amboyna burr so should contrast nicely with ebony top and bottom sandwiching it.

I feel like the front splice just lightens the cue a bit, in terms of looks, and perhaps psychologically. If you look at my post of my one piece cues, more than half follow the classic Burwat design ethic.

Heavily weighted, small tip and Everton Mint design. And he want's 2.5k. PMSL!

Then again, 8 perfect chevrons from JP's choice set of boards, delivered by angels...........

That doesn't make any sense. If you have a question to address to me could you possibly use English, ideally constructed as sentences using meaningful punctuation? alternatively, and perhaps better, stop just posting pointless nothing just to try to generate some form of response. Attention is not love. Particularly on the internet.

Spread your wings, and try to get a life.

there's something like 8 splices and 24 veneers on there ??? OMG is snakewood heavier than ebony???

I too like plain - my TW is a Burwat style, but I do pine for a conny type cue.

Might get my plain jane Parris sent over to Andy Trav for some connoisseur-esque maple and rosewood love

Not sure what the wood is TBH .

If your interested in how the block work is done then do a search on youtube for how to make a kitchen chopping board . It's the same idea

If you think this is cheap, what do you think of sanded down, cheap Chinese cues made by a machine?! :biggrin-new:
                        Hi Focus,

I have been reading your posts of late and I just want to say what a great addition you are to this forum. Your knowledge on all things snooker is up there with the best of them and long may it continue.
Do you happen to know much about coaching as I really think the forum could do with some routines.

Thankyou good man. I will think of some routines.......................but the best thing would be a proper forum with lots of WS coaches on hand. Hmmmmmm

Let's start with 5RB. One red below the black, four above with the last of the four on the pink spot. A wee line up. Pot a red, black, etc. See how many times you can complete this sequence in a row..............................GO!

more off topic shenanigans by the Troll that is luclex ...

                                back on topic...

so with a multi veneered / spliced cue, like the ultimate in the original post, the splices/veneers are made into a block then spliced onto the shaft, or are they done splice at a time?
